Alice Fay Spencer, 80, of Fulton, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Williamsburg, MO on November 30, 1940, to the late Turner Hook and the Late Ruby (Bell) Hook. Alice loved to work, she felt it was her calling to help others. Out of work she enjoyed going to garage sales and walking around her neighborhood. She lived for her grand-daughters and great grandchildren. Alice took great pleasure in and enjoyed spoiling them as much as she could. She cherished the family BBQ's and fish fry's in Williamsburg catching up with her sisters, brothers, nieces, and nephews. Alice worked for the Fulton State Hospital for over 38 years. She also worked part-time and greatly enjoyed working at the Kingdom Care Senior Living for 26 years, where she continued to work until she passed. She will be fondly remembered by son, Earl "Leon" Spencer Jr. of Fulton; daughter, Jeanette Porter (Phillip) of Fulton; brothers, Kenneth Hook (Diane) of Eudora, Kan., Turner Hook, Arthur "Ben" Hook, David Hook (Linda), and Joe "Jody" Hook (Bambi), all of Williamsburg; sisters, Odessa Riley and Susie Trimble of Fort Scott, Kan.; grandchildren, Ashley Moore (Nick), Heather Nichols, D.J. Miller (Kasey), and Casey Miller; great-grandchildren, Ava, Ella, and Lyric; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by brothers, Joseph Hook, and George Edward "Bob" Hook. Private graveside services will be held at Riverview Center in Reform at a later date. Family and friends will gather in the spring for a Celebration of Life.
