John Edward Newsom

John Edward Newsom, 72, of Fulton, passed away at his home on Sunday, February 21, 2021. He was born in Fulton on November 6, 1948, to the late Robert E. Newsom and Julia "Judy" (Fabrizio) Newsom. On August 29, 1970, John was united in marriage to Linda (Kay) Newsom who survives his passing. John was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). In addition to his wife of 50 years, John will be fondly remembered by his mother, Judy Newsom of Fulton; brother, Robert K. Newsom (Martha) of Fulton; brothers-in-law, Roger Kay of Hallsville, and Larry Kay of Columbia; sister-in-law, Cheryl Largent of Holts Summit; and nieces and nephews, Tim Largent (Jennifer) of Holts Summit, Tammy Largent (Kevin) of Holts Summit, Melissa Largent of Holts Summit, Greg Newsom of Fulton, and Zach Newsom (Jen) of Meridian, Idaho. Private graveside services will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating.
