Earl Gayle Kennett

Earl Gayle Kennett, age 82, of Duluth, Georgia, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021. Gayle was born on September 8, 1938, in Columbia to Earl Stanley Kennett and Evelyn Shouse Kennett. He received a BS degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Missouri in 1961. He served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army for two years, first at Fort Sill, Oklahoma and then in Friedberg, Germany. Gayle returned to the states and started a career with Sundstrand Corporation in Rockford, Illinois. He relocated three times with Sundstrand, ending up in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico where , as Plant Manager, he oversaw the building and startup of a new manufacturing facility. He retired from the Industry in 1994. He sold real estate for three years and then moved to the San Antonio area. In 2001, he moved to Georgia. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Frances Rootes Kennett; sons, Stanley Earl Kennett and wife Kathleen of Duluth, Kurt Minor Kennett and wife Pouwa of Columbia, Missouri; granddaughter, Harper Kennett and grandson Sawyer Kennett of Duluth; sister, Susan Kennett Strait of Boliver; brothers, Murry Kennett and wife Janet of Millersburg, and Karl Kennett of Jefferson City. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Suzanne Frances Kennett. No service will be held at this time. Gifts in his memory may be sent to Millersburg Cemetery Association, P.O.
