Thalma Lander

Thelma Lander, 89, of Fulton, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021, at Oak Tree Villa in Jefferson City. She was born on August 31, 1931, to the late Peter Henry Taylor and the late Alice (Buckley) Taylor. On September 3, 1955, Thelma was united in marriage to Millard James Lander. He preceded her in death on October 26, 2019. For many years, Thelma worked as a secretary at Fulton State Hospital. Along with her husband, she owned Kings Row from 1978, until retirement. She also helped with Millard's auctioneer service. Thelma was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Thelma will be fondly remembered by daughter, Kathleen Schmitz (Dennis) of Centertown; sister, Pauline Helen Taylor Perpitch (Sam) of St. Joseph; seven grandchildren, Stacey Beck (Kenny), Trista Ewing, Amber Ewing (Jamey) Brad Schmitz, Kara Dickherber (Chris) Trey Harris and Lindsey Harris; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Kyle Harris; brother, Albert Taylor; sister, Amelda June Taylor Clark; and granddaughter, Christine Ewing.
