Lois Naomi Lawrence, 97, Fulton, Mo., went to her heavenly home on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Kingdom Care Senior Living in Fulton, Mo. Naomi was born on February 25, 1924, in Readsville, Mo., the daughter of Vernie and Ethel (Pasley) Cole who preceded her in death. On October 7, 1948, she was united in marriage to Charles Lawrence in Fulton, Mo. who preceded her in death on June 3, 2016. After 28 years of working as a ward clerk, she retired from Callaway Memorial Hospital in Fulton, Mo. She was a faithful member of Church of God of Holiness and a Sunday school teacher for many years. Naomi was passionate about reading her Bible, praying, cooking, baking desserts (especially her coconut cream pie, chocolate sheet cake and crescent rolls), gardening, canning, watching St. Louis Cardinal Baseball and word search puzzles. Naomi's most important and favorite role was being a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Survivors include: two sons, Charlie Lawrence (Judy) of Fulton, Mo. and Glen Lawrence (Doneta) of Spring Hill, Tenn.; one sister, Wilma Jean Dodsworth of Kirksville, Mo.; two granddaughters, Tracy Custer of Denver, Colo. and Shelly Weber (Heath) of Fulton, Mo.; eight great-grandchildren, Christopher Custer, Ashley Johnson, Elizabeth Tredick, Alex Roberts, Samantha Weber, Jessica Petty, Michael Custer and Ernie Johnson and seven great- great-grandchildren, Jimmy and Justus Johnson, Bella Lootens, Charlotte "Charlie" Petty, Laydon, Sadie and Cheyenne Johnson. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Eric Lawrence; two brothers, Ray Cole and Howard Cole and two sisters, Anna Cole and Jessie Myrtle Biswell. Visitation was held on Friday, August 27, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton, Mo. Funeral service was on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Church of God of Holiness in Fulton, Mo. with Rev. Travis Sayler officiating. Entombment followed in Callaway Memorial Gardens.
