Bernard F. Worful, age 92, peacefully passed away in his home on Sunday, April 11, 2021. Bernie was born in St. Charles, the son of the late Bernard Sr. and Ruth W. Worful. Bernie was the beloved husband of Mary Jane (Leverenz) Worful. They were united in marriage in August 1952, until her death on December 18, 1986. Bernie and JoAnn (Potter) were united in marriage on October 9, 2000. Bernie joined the Navy soon after graduation from St. Peter's Parrish High School and served for four years. He worked for McDonald Douglas/Boeing for 36 years as a superintendent of manufacturing and assembling. Bernie loved to travel and enjoyed many adventures with his friends and family. He enjoyed golfing and fishing and just hanging out with friends. He was a big tease and enjoyed playing jokes on his buddies. We loved to listen to his stories as he would get so tickled that laughter prevented him from finishing the tale. Bernie was handy with tools and loved to build things even building his own home on Sibley where he lived until his death. He used those skills to help with maintenance projects at St. Peter's Parrish church and school for many years after his retirement. He was active in the American Legion and Knights of Columbus. Bernie is survived by his sister, Beatrice Kratzer of St. Ann. He was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Huesmann; and a brother, Bruce Worful. He is survived by his beloved nieces and nephews. He was a devoted stepfather to Pamela (John) Lindstrom, Dennis (Marcia) Potter and Karen (Bruce) Pickett. He was the step-grandfather to eight grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren who all loved him as their grandfather. The family is being served by Baue Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 20, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Baue Funeral Home Cave Springs, 3950 West Clay Street.
