Anna Lee Newman, 95, of Fulton, passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2021, at her home. She was born on December 11, 1925, in Fulton, Missouri to the late William Dunavant and the late Gladys (Grimm) Dunavant. On April 26, 1946, Anna was united in marriage to Wood Clark, who preceded her in death on January 11, 1961. She later married Raymond Newman Jr. on December 7, 1962. He preceded her in death on April 16, 1988. Anna was a member of Southside Baptist Church. She loved to cook and can vegetables and was known for her relish and chow chow. She liked to shop and attend her children's and grandchildren's activities. Anna will be fondly remembered by sons, Charlie Clark (Sarah Alberts), Larry Clark (Melody), Jeff "Jelly" Newman (Marlo), and Lance Newman; sisters-in-law, Margaret Dunavant and Mary Dunavant-Deloney; grandchildren, Shannon Walters (Keith), Matt Clark, Hilary DeMarco (Paul), Joshua Newman (Makayla Litty), Kristen Murray, Hannah Newman (Levi Mealy), Ashton Gaboury (Joe), Taylor Newman (Steven Shireman), and Lyndsey Newman; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a multitude of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husbands, Anna was preceded in death by brothers, William Dunavant Jr., Homer Dunavant, Bobby Dunavant, Ralph Dunavant, Kenny Dunavant, and Wallace Dunavant; and sister, Fay Zillig. Funeral services were held on Thursday, April 1, 2021, at Maupin Funeral Home with Dr. Thomas Cooper officiating. Interment was in Callaway Memorial Gardens.
