Doris Lavina Martin, 80, of Fulton, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at Fulton Presbyterian Manor. She was born in Callaway County on April 10, 1940 to the late George Rockwood and the late Bertha Berta (Wilson) Rockwood. On October 31, 1958, Doris married Charles Edward Martin. He passed away on August 23, 2018. Doris retired from Fulton State Hospital before she began working alongside her daughter, Ruby, at Midwest Petroleum. She was known as the Queen of Lottery Tickets. Everyone knew that George and Renay were her favorite children. Doris is survived by sons, George Martin of Fulton, David Martin (Joan) of Steedman, Jerry Willis of Nevada, and Dean Green (Dawn) of Holts Summit; daughters, Ruby Serini (Charles Jr.) of Steedman, Doreene Sherrell (Alan) of Jefferson City, Teresa Wallace (Jon) of Harrisburg, and Renay Browning (Cloyd) of Auxvasse; sisters, Betty Fox of California, Georgetta Meyers of Kansas, and Ivy DeBrodie (Joe) of Columbia; 26 grandchildren; and 66 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by daughter, Letha Laughlin; brother, Charles Rockwood; sisters, Margaret Hill, and Sarah Haynes; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2020 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to the Susan G.
