Deborah Jean Maddox, 59, of Fulton passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at her home. She was born on September 29, 1960 in Fulton to the late James Richard Barnes and the late Delores Jean (Hoover) Barnes. On July 5, 1980, Debbie married Robert Grant "Rocky" Maddox. He survives her passing. Debbie worked at Fulton Medical Center and Aramark for many years. She had just recently began working at Kingdom Care Senior Living. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and past member of AMVETS Post 153 Women's Auxiliary. In her spare time, she enjoyed camping, fishing, and going for trike rides with Rocky. But nothing brought her as much joy as spending time with her grandchildren. Debbie will be fondly remembered by her husband of 40 years; sons, Alvin Grant Maddox (Cyndi) of Fulton, and Clinton Dale Maddox (Holly) of Ashland; brothers, James Edward Barnes (Teresa) of Rich Hill, Eddie Lee Barnes (Madonna) of Fulton, and Dennis Dale Barnes (Ashley) of Fulton; sister, Sandra Sue McGaughey of Fulton; and grandchildren, Hayden Grant Maddox, Zachary Mertin Maddox, and Callie Marie Maddox. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 21, 2020 at Ebenezer Cemetery with Pastor Mike Crowson officiating. Memorial donations are suggested to Maupin Funeral Home for a fund to be set up for Debbie's grandchildren, 301 Douglas Boulevard, Fulton, MO 65251.
