Buddy Hazlett

Buddy Dean Hazlett, 87, of New Bloomfield, Mo., passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at University Hospital in Columbia, Mo. Buddy was born on November 1, 1933 in Tebbetts, Mo., the son of Henry and Lenora (Becker) Hazlett, who preceded him in death. In 1953, in Fulton, Mo. he married Crystal Underwood. He retired from Kaiser Brick in 1995. Survivors include: his wife of 67 years, Crystal Hazlett of the home; two sons, Roger Hazlett (Debbie) of New Bloomfield, Mo. and Harold Hazlett of New Bloomfield, Mo.; daughter-in-law, Cindy Hazlett of Altamont, Ill.; four grandchildren, Adam Hazlett (Amanda), Jessi Scholes (Sean), Jenny Hazlett and Dean Hazlett; three step-grandchildren, Roman Allen (Judy), Hayley Amelung (Dave) and Reston Allen; 11 great-grandchildren and three step- great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by one son, Steven Hazlett. Graveside service will be on Monday, November 30, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Callaway Memorial Gardens with Rev. Ronnie Hardin officiating. Due to COVID-19, family has asked for masks to be worn at the service and to practice social distancing.
