SCHULTE Elmer Merwin Schulte, 83, of Mokane, Mo., passed away on Monday, November 2, 2020, at his home. Elmer was born on January 19, 1937, in Freeburg, Mo., the son of Louis and Julia (Eisterhold) Schulte who preceded him in death. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and baptized into the Christian faith on October 8, 2001. He was married on June 26, 1982, in Jefferson City, Mo. to Barbara Brewer. Elmer retired from Harbison Walker Refractories as an industrial electrician, was a lifelong famer and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include: his wife, Barbara Schulte of the home; one son, Mark Schulte of San Francisco, Calif.; one daughter, Debbie Romine (Jim) of Lake St Louis, Mo.; one brother, Emil Schulte (Judy) of Fulton, Mo.; one sister, Jeanette Quick (Curtis) of Columbia, Mo.; two grandchildren, Bailey Couch (Jonathan) and Keegan Romine; and three great-grandchildren, Henderson Couch, Beckett Couch and Juliette Couch. He was also preceded in death his son, Michael Schulte in 2010; two brothers, Louis Schulte and Norbert Schulte and two sisters, Mary Lou Lander and Delores Schulte. Family graveside services with full military honors were held on Friday, November 6, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Callaway Memorial Gardens - Mausoleum with Chaplain Ken Greimann officiating.
