Jerldean Pugh, 95, of Fulton, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2020, at University of Missouri Hospital. She was born in Diggins, Missouri on August 24, 1924, to the late John Henry Murphy and the late Gladys Irene (Hunt) Murphy. Jerry was married to Nelson Pugh for 26 years before his passing. Jerry worked for over 40 years at International, Samuels, and Stride-Rite shoe factories in Fulton. Her sewing skills provided many Callaway County residents with a perfect outfit. She was a life-long member of First Christian Church of Fulton. She loved vacationing in Wyoming, Colorado, and Texas. She had eight Yorkshire puppies that she loved to care for. Each of her siblings remembered times that the help Jerry gave their mother made a great difference in their life. She is survived by son, Eddie Pugh (Marsha) of Fulton; brother, Russell Ned Murphy (Scarlett) of Indianapolis; sisters, Ruby Jane Beatty (J.W.), Mary Lou Atkinson (John), and Kathleen Sprague (James), all of the Fulton area; grandchildren, Christopher Pugh (Jackie) of Fort Worth, Texas., and Cassie Westlake (Bryan) of Fort Worth, Texas.; and two great-grandchildren, Olivia Westlake and Cooper Westlake. She also leaves behind several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, William Dale Murphy, John Lynford Murphy, Donald Ray Murphy, and Jimmy Ray Murphy; and sister, Lois Delphine Murphy. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2020, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Reverend Mindy Kiepe officiating. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
