Stacey Rae Moore, 50, of Auxvasse, passed away Friday, March 13, 2020 peacefully and free of pain and sorrow, with her beautiful daughter Shannon holding her hand. Stacey was born November 12, 1969 in St. Charles, Mo., the daughter of Ralph and Judy Carter. She started in nursing at the age of 18 at Fulton State Hospital. She was born to be a nurse! She was an eternally kind and compassionate person and she always found the good in everyone and every situation. She loved being a nurse, admired the staff she worked with, and cared so much about the well being of the patients. Stacey loved many things: Her dad Ralph, who was her first love; her children, Joshua and Shannon, who she loved deeply; sunny days on the beaches of Mexico; hugs and kisses from Lilly and Jesse Jr., her dog Rue, and her true love Terry Foster, who treated her like she deserved to be treated. She only wished they had found each other many years ago. Stacey was a generous and beautiful woman. She gave all she had to all of those she loved right up to the end when her little body could no longer carry her big heart. Her last words were those of love and support for Shannon, who she was so very proud of. She was a second mother to her nephew Jesse, a best friend and shoulder to cry on to her sister Kim. The world is a sadder place without her brightening smile. Stacey will forever be remembered by her Dad, Ralph Carter; daughter, Shannon; sister, Kim Voyles (Dell), all of Auxvasse; sister, Debbie Blackburn (Robert); niece, Corey Blackburn of Fulton; nephew, Jesse Carter (Kim) and his children Jesse Jr. and Lilly of Jefferson City; and her boyfriend, Terry Foster of Fulton. She was preceded in death by her mother, Judy Carter, and her son, Joshua Moore. Losing them changed her forever. A celebration of her life and how she touched ours will be held when things are better and the sun is shining. Memorial contributions in her honor can be made to the American Heart Association or Central Missouri Humane Society.
