Daryl L. Walker

Daryll L. Walker, 73, of Auxvasse, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2020, at his home. He was born in Sunnyside, Washington on January 23, 1947 to the late Mahlon Samuel Walker and the late Zelda Mae (Upton) Walker. On June 19, 1977, Daryll was united in marriage to Alicia (Dela Cruz) Walker, who preceded him in death on March 14, 2019. Darryl proudly serviced his country in the United States Air Force, retiring after 20 years of service. Following his military retirement, he worked as a postal carrier in Auxvasse. He was supportive of his community and served as alderman and mayor of Auxvasse. The highlight of his life was coaching his three son's and grandson's football teams. Those remaining to treasure his memory include children, James Walker of Auxvasse, Angela Grohs (Matthew) of Fulton, Robert Walker of Auxvasse, Crystal Baumgartner of Auxvasse, and Nicholas Walker of Fulton; brother, Robert "Bob" Walker (Elaine) of Auxvasse; eight grandchildren, Zachary Tylar Walker, Lauren Taylar Stone, Anthony Lee Grohs, Aurora Lynn Baumgartner, Makenna Rae Walker, George Edward Baumgartner, Evangeline Mae Walker, and Everly Elizabeth Walker; one great-grandchild, Dallas Stone; and three nephews.
