Robert "Boo" Vaughn Jr.

Robert "Boo" Vaughn Jr., 60, of Fulton, passed away peacefully at the University of Missouri Health Center in Columbia on Thursday, July 16, 2020. Robert was born on September 17, 1959, in Fulton, the son of the late Robert and Lola (Lee) Vaughn. Robert professed the Lord Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He attended Fulton Public School and began working at Westminster College shortly afterwards. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. Some of the other things he enjoyed doing were playing basketball and making others laugh. On the court he was known as Scoop Vaughn and in everyday life he greeted everyone with a smile. Those remaining to cherish his memory are his son, Robert Vaughn III; brothers, Charlie Vaughn, Ronald Vaughn (Delora), Walter Vaughn, Larry Vaughn Sr. (Carolyn); sisters, Rita Vaughn (Ken), Vanessa Gillette (Larry), Audrey Vaughn (Donnie), Donna Pittman (Bradley), all of Fulton; aunts, Thelma Colbert of Kansas City, Goldie Vaughn of Fulton, Willa Day of Springfield, Bonnie Morgan of Columbia, and Carolyn Lee of Atlanta, Ga.; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his grandparents, Irvin and Viola (Lawson) Lee, James and Ethel (Smallwood) Vaughn; brother, Todd Lee; and nephew, Russell Gillette. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2020, at Callaway Christian Church with Reverend Larry Vaughn Jr. officiating. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Interment will be in Southside Cemetery. Repass will be at Callaway Christian Church following burial.
