Diane Dillon

Diane Dillon, 76, of Steedman, passed peacefully on Thursday, July 16, 2020, at home surrounded by loved ones. She was born in St. Charles, Missouri on November 21, 1943, to the late William Schnarr and the late Virginia (Haislip) Schnarr. On May 14, 1960, Diane married Edward Dillon, who preceded her in death on May 10, 2007. Diane worked as a teller at Steedman Bank which later became Callaway Bank until her retirement. In her younger years, she liked to hunt and fish with her dad. She enjoyed shopping, hunting for bargains at rummage sales, watching the hummingbirds, and playing cards. Diane had a vast collection of knick-knacks and roosters. Family was always the center of her life and she treasured the time spent with them, especially Sunday dinners. Diane's memory will be forever cherished by her children, Debbie Vandeloecht (Jerry) of Steedman, Dave Dillon of Steedman, and Keith Dillon of Portland; grandchildren, Jenny Cave (Shannon), Jeremy Vandeloecht (Misty), Heather Humphrey (Robert), Alexis Dillon, Dalton Dillon, and David Dillon; great-grandchildren, David and Mason Adams, Kambree Vandeloecht, and Riley and Chase Humphrey; and great-great-grandchildren, Jordan and Oakley Adams. In addition to her parents and husband, Diane was preceded in death by two infant sisters and brother, Dale Schnarr. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, 2020, at the Portland Community Center with Brother David Coleman officiating.
