Lawrence Loyd Sims

Lawrence Loyd Sims, 83, of Fulton, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2020 at University of Missouri Hospital. He was born in Fulton on July 11, 1936 to the late Lawrence W. Sims and the late Elizabeth Jane (Loyd) Sims. Loyd was married to Eva May (Helmig) Sims on October 14, 1955. She survives his passing. Loyd served in the Missouri National Guard. From an early age, it was evident he had a strong work ethic. He will be remembered by many as being a gifted storyteller. His memory will be cherished by his wife of 65 years; children, Bill Sims of St. Louis, Tammy Sink (Rick) of Grove, Okla.; Susan Sims-Hill (Steve) of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Bobby Sims of Fulton; grandchildren, Anthony Conrad (Danielle), Zachary Hill, Audrey Hill, and Ashley Sims; and great-grandchildren, Tinsley and Carter Conrad. In addition to his parents, Loyd was preceded in death by sister, Sara Elizabeth Graves-Phillips. Due to the current social situation, no services will be held at this time.
