Ruth Ann Reynolds, 80, died Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at the family home north of New Bloomfield. Her long fight with cancer ended for her with her husband and daughter at her side. She was born in Fulton on February 8, 1939 to Frank Julian Kaiser and Mildred Kathleen (Monroe) Kaiser and was called "Ruthie" from childhood throughout her life. She was baptized in the First Baptist Church in Fulton and graduated from Fulton High School. She married Phillip Reynolds on Sept. 5, 1959. During their 60-year marriage they had two children, James David Reynolds, who died four weeks before his mother, and Susan Reynolds (Bill) Geiger of Spring Branch, Texas. She traveled the globe with Phil in his Air Force career. Assignments included England, Germany and Korea. After his retirement, she relished the cruises they took for more opportunities to be on the beach at places such as Tahiti. The relocations offered job changes for her, with her favorites being as a secretary for a Washington, D.C. lobbying group, and attendance clerk at Judson High School while her children were students there in Texas. Once back in Callaway County, she volunteered with the Kingdom of Callaway Historical Society and was a member of the Rotary Club of Fulton and a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International. Surviving in addition to her husband and daughter are five grandchildren, three great-grandsons, and a sister, Barbara J. (Kaiser) Adelblue of Oklahoma City. She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Frank Kaiser; and her son. A memorial service will be held at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton at 2 p.m. on February 8, 2020. The family will receive guests at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until time for the service, at which the Rev. Bruce Williamson will officiate. The family suggests that any donations in her memory be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in care of the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.debofuneralhome.com
