Roger Dale Pickering

Roger Dale Pickering, 61, of Fulton, died at 8:05 a.m., Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at his home. Roger was born April 14, 1958, in Fulton, the son of Guy Thomas Pickering Jr. and Florence Marie (Hopsecker) Pickering. He was a graduate of Fulton High School and enjoyed hunting. He worked as a welder at several places including Doolittle Trailer, the Auxvasse Rock Quarry, Callaway Nuclear Plant, and Danuser Machine Company. He is survived by his mother, Florence "Dee" Pickering, Fulton; one son, Lucas Pickering, New Bloomfield; one brother, Larry Pickering, Millersburg; two sisters, Linda Elledge, and Lisa Brewer (Les), Fulton; three nieces, Tiffany Wynn (Zane), and Danielle Brewer, both of Fulton, and Ariela Pickering, of Higbee; three nephews, Brandon Brewer, Jason Clark, and Coty Pickering, all of Fulton; one great- niece and two great-nephews, Rylee, Rykin and Jayden. He was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Robert "Bobby" Pickering; one brother-in-law, Michael Elledge; and his grandparents, Guy and Betty Pickering, and Hershel and Minnie Hopsecker. Celebration of Life was held from 4 to 6 p.m., Monday, January 20, 2020, at Victory Fellowship Church in Fulton, with Pastor Jerry Spires officiating. Pickering Funeral Home in Mexico handled the arrangements.
