Michael Kim Smith, age 56, of Fulton, Mo., formerly of Cassville, passed away Monday, February 10, 2020, at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. He was born October 29, 1963, in Houston, Mo., the son of Ray J. and Lenna (Garrison) Smith. Michael brought a lot of joy to people. One of his favorite songs was "Rhinestone Cowboy". Some of his favorite pastimes were eating out at restaurants, giving orders to people and going to church. For several years, he attended Butterfield Baptist Church before moving to Fulton and attending Richland Baptist Church. Survivors include: his mother, Lenna Smith; one brother, Ricky Smith and his wife Glenda of Fulton, Mo.; two nieces, Cindy Bennett and her husband Josh of Nixa, Mo. And Dr. Rebecca Clayberg and her husband Phil of Mountain Home, Ark.; one great-niece, Brynlee Bennett and great-nephew, Easton Clayberg. Preceding him in death was his father, Ray Smith. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, February 23, at 1:30 p.m., at Richland Baptist Church, 5301 County Road 220, 1 mile South of Interstate 70, Kingdom City, MO 65262, with Pastor Nick Drake officiating. Contributions may be made to Gideons International or Cerebral Palsy Foundation in memory of Michael.
