Dorothy Lucille Magruder

Dorothy Lucille Magruder, 96, of Fulton, Mo., passed away under the compassionate care of Hospice Compassus on Friday, August 21, 2020, at her granddaughter's home in Fulton, Mo. Dorothy was born on August 27, 1923, in Caruthersville, Mo., the daughter of Robert and Ida Myrtle (Knight) Reeves who preceded her in death. She was married on November 15, 1964, in Auxvasse, Mo. to Orvel Ray Magruder who preceded her in death on November 21, 1989. Dorothy retired from Fulton State Hospital in 1980, as a LPN. She is fondly remembered for her love of cats and for being a dotting grandmother. Survivors include: two sons, Dale Hook (Betty Frueh) of Fulton, Mo. and Randy Hook (Karen) of Mexico, Mo.; six grandchildren, Kim Thomas (William), Darla Pritchard (Rodney Atterberry), Dana Jennings (Mark), Sam Hook (Theresa), Brian Hook (Debbie) and Gene Hook; 12 great- grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one son, Larry Hook; great-grandson, Randy Hook III; one sister and two brothers. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2020, from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Debo Funeral Home Fulton, Mo. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Mike Crowson officiating. Burial in Hillcrest Cemetery in Fulton, Mo.
