Doyle T. Maupin, 81, of Fulton, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2020 at The Bluffs in Columbia, Missouri. He was born in Fulton, Missouri on October 12, 1938 to the late William Clayton Maupin and the late Mildred (Hetherington) Maupin. On September 14, 1968, Doyle married Helen (Black) Maupin, who survives his passing. Doyle proudly served in the United States Army in the 101st Airborne. Until his retirement, he worked as an electrician. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. More than anything, Doyle enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a member of Carrington Baptist Church. In addition to his wife of 51 years, Doyle will be greatly missed by sons, Dale Maupin (Jessie) of New Bloomfield and Shawn Maupin of Fulton; daughter, Christy Edwards of Fulton; sisters, Phyllis McCubbin of Holts Summit and Pat Shaffer (Stanley) of Nashville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Clayton Maupin (Abigail), Mason Maupin, Adrienne Edwards (Kyle Foster), and Megan Edwards; and great-grandchild, Nora Leigh Maupin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by infant son, Tommy Maupin; and son-in-law, Rick Edwards. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Jack Coleman officiating. Friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at the funeral home. Interment will be Callaway Memorial Gardens.
