After her kids were grown, she worked part time for Sears and later for American Greetings. Debbie was a member of Oliver United Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed crocheting, crafting, baking, volunteer work and going to garage sales and auctions. Spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, brought her the most joy. In addition to her husband, she will be greatly missed by her three daughters, Kelly (Clint) Nickelson, Shelly (Steven) Skinner and Amy McCormick; six grandchildren, Adeline and Zeke Nickelson, Haylee, Konner and Kyle Skinner and Chaytin Lea; one great-grandson, Tate McGrath; her father, Paul Sutton; brothers, Norman (Joyce) Sutton and Scott (Vicki) Sutton; numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Sutton; mother-in-law, Patricia Clouse and two sisters-in-law, Jan McCormick and Marietta Sutton.
