Dorris Geraldine Wimmer

Dorris Geraldine Wimmer, 92, of Fulton, passed away at her home on Friday, July 31, 2020. She was born on November 21, 1927, in Readsville to the late Mary (Hays) Watson. On February 18, 1946, Geraldine married James John Wimmer who preceded her in death on March 17, 1999. Geraldine worked as an Aide at Fulton State Hospital and cared for children at local daycares. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church. Geraldine was active with Callaway Senior Center and enjoyed going on group bus trips. Her memory will be cherished by sons, Jerry Wimmer of Portland, Larry Wimmer of Fulton, Daniel Wimmer (Sharie) of Portland, David Wimmer (April) of Portland; daughters, Shirley Pullen of Haslett, Mich., Yvonne Adams of Fulton, Elizabeth Myers (Steve) of Fulton, and Debbie DeVille of California, Mo.; brothers, Bill Watson of Holts Summit, and Donnie Watson of Mokane; sisters, Alva Polacek and Louise Huff, both of Fulton; 22 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son, Terry Wimmer; twins, Sandra Jean and Sharon Ann Wimmer, as well as another set of twins who passed at birth; sister, Dorothy Krutz; and grandchildren, Brice Adams and Chase Myers. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, August 3, 2020, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Guy Thomas officiating. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens at a later date.
