Elizabeth "Betty" Irene Verser

Elizabeth "Betty" Irene Verser, 93, of Ballwin, Mo,, formerly Fulton, passed away Friday, April 24, 2020. She was born in Fulton on April 14, 1927, the daughter of the late Carl and Evelyn (Morts) Lee. On April 5, 1950, Betty was united in marriage to Richard (Dick) William Verser, who preceded her in death on December 22, 1986. After graduating from Fulton High School, Class of 1945, she worked for the telephone company as a switchboard operator. Later she worked in sales for Sears, Stuarts and Famous Barr/Macy's. She was an active member of Manchester United Methodist Church until her declining health. She loved to travel, play bridge and watch the Cardinals. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Gayle Elley (Terry) (Fulton, Mo.); son, Kenneth Richard Verser (Denise) (Columbia, Mo.); daughter, Rebecca (Becki) Jo Larson (Wayne) (St. Louis, Mo.); sister, Carlene Pierce (Fulton, Mo.); grandchildren, Michael Elley (Angela) (Little Rock, Ark.), Jason Elley (Megan) (Republic, Mo.), Matt Larson (Ranju) (Wentzville, Mo.), Sarah Larson (Andrew Presson) (University City, Mo.); great-grandchildren, Ashton and Isabella Elley (Little Rock, Ark.), Scotlynne, Jaxton, and Maclaine Elley (Republic, Mo.), and Ava and Aiden Larson (Wentzville, Mo). Due to the present healthcare precautions, private family graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2020, at Callaway Memorial Gardens with Pastor Cody Allen officiating.
