Vicky Lynn Powers, 70, of Steedman, was called to her heavenly home on Saturday, April 4, 2020. She was at home, with loved ones by her side. Vicky was born in St. Louis, Missouri on August 23, 1949 to the late Harold Rudolph Vandeloecht and Gertrude (Dillon) Vandeloecht. On November 30, 1968, Vicky married Kenny Powers. He survives her passing. For many years Vicky worked for Beco Concrete Products. Along with her husband, she owned and operated CC Store in Steedman in the 90s. Vicky was a talented seamstress and gardener. Her world revolved around her family. Until her health declined, she could often be found watching her grandchildren's sporting events or taking trips with them to Branson. Vicky was a member of Church of God (Holiness) in Reform. Those remaining to cherish her memory include her devoted husband of 51 years, Kenny; mother, Gertrude Vandeloecht of Fulton; sons, Kevin Powers (Lisa) of Steedman and Jason Powers (Amy Wax) of Hams Prairie; daughter, Emilie Powers of Fulton; brothers, Bruce Vandeloecht (Nancy) of Portland and Jerry Vandeloecht (Debbie) of Steedman; grandchildren, Kayleen, Keith, Lane, and Beau Powers; step-grandson, Trevor White; and several nieces and nephews. Vicky was preceded in death by her father; brothers, Bradford Vandeloecht, Denny Vandeloecht, and Steve Vandeloecht; and granddaughter, Hailey Powers. Private graveside services will be held at Steedman Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to Alzheimer's Association, c/o Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas Boulevard, Fulton, MO 65251.
