John Ray Jatho

John Ray Jatho, passed away peacefully May 15, 2019, at Hope Hospice in Ft. Myers, Fla. He joins beloved wife, Ann Stansfield; his parents, Lenora Day and John Yates Jatho; and brothers, Robert Yates, Paul Lee, and Earl M. Fulton was John's home and he played basketball and football for Fulton High, graduating in 1948. John continued playing football for University of Missouri and while attending there met his lifelong love, Ann. They were married for 68 years. He served overseas in the Air Force during the Korean War and continued serving upon his return in active Air Force Reserves for over a decade. While serving our country he became employed by Shell Oil Co. until his retirement. John and Ann loved golf and warmer weather, so they spent their retirement years in Florida, enjoying both. They were proud of their four children, Stephen, Debra, John and Clarissa; grandchildren, Alexander, Ariana, Adam, Helen, Kellie and Grantham; and great-grandchildren, Cayman and Nora. During John's last Fulton visit, October 2018, he laid his loving wife, Ann to rest and enjoyed visiting with his children, sisters, Carol Dye and Jo Ellen Fry; sister-in-law, Marilyn Smith and several generations of nieces and nephews. His Fulton Memorial Service will be at 3 p.m., June 24, 2020, at Callaway Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Family requests any donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
