Harold D. "Cap" Lehman

Harold D. "Cap" Lehman, 82, of Mokane, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, at Harry S. Truman Veteran's Hospital. He was born on July 10, 1937 in Mokane, the son of the late Benson Lehman and the late Kathleen (Litel) Lehman. Cap was married to Carolyn (Bartley) Lehman and Geraldine (Estep) Lehman, both of whom preceded him in death. Cap proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1960 until 1962. He was a member of Hams Prairie Christian Church. Cap worked at Harbison Walker and was a long-time farmer. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping, fishing, listening to Bluegrass music and attending festivals, and being a member of Mid-Missouri Model A Restorer's Club. Cap will be remembered most for collecting and restoring antique tractors. His collection of tractors was proudly displayed on his farm for those traveling State Highway C to enjoy. He very much enjoyed driving in local parades and the annual Kingdom of Callaway Historical Society Tractor Drive. Cap will be lovingly remembered by sister, Mary Anne Buffington (Jim) of Mokane; step-children, Brenda Estep, Glenda Estep, Rhea Horstman (Kevin), Thurman Estep, Mary Gaines, and Blanche Estep; 17 step-grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wives, Harold was preceded in death by brother, Carroll Lehman. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 28, 2019 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at the funeral home. Interment with Military Honors will be in Hams Prairie Cemetery.
