Shirley Jane Emanuel, 90, of Hanover, Indiana, formerly of Fulton, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at her home with loved ones by her side. She was born on June 9, 1929 in Odessa Missouri, the daughter of the late William White and the late Lola White. On August 12, 1950, Shirley was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Emanuel, who preceded her in death on June 3, 2005. Shirley lived in Odessa until she and Bob moved to Fulton in 1961. She worked alongside her husband at Bob's Shoe Repair until they sold the business. A loving mother of four boys, Shirley was an excellent homemaker and was very active with the Boy Scouts, for nearly 20 years. Born with a nurturing soul, every child she encountered was loved and treated like her own, and many of the Boy Scouts considered her a second mother. After suffering a stroke in 2015, Shirley moved to Hanover, Indiana to reside with her son, Allen and his wife, Linda. She loved to dress up and have her hair done and nails painted and she always added a little bling. In June she was able to celebrate her 90th birthday with a nice party, surrounded by many family members and friends. She will be dearly missed by her sons, Donald D. Emanuel and Allen W.
