Virginia Lee Reinhardt

Virginia Lee Reinhardt, age 89, of Independence, Mo., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 23, 2019. Gin was born on September 29, 1930, in Linn Creek, Mo. She attended Ritenour High School and later worked for Western Electric and McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis. Ginny sang as a soloist and in choirs though out her life and passed that love of music on to her children. On March 29, 1952 Ginny married James Robert Reinhardt. Ginny and Jim lived in Florissant and had their first child Kevin in 1955, followed by their second son Dale in 1958. In 1961, the family moved to St. Charles, Mo. After Kevin and Dale were in school, she went back to work at Gamache Realty in St. Ann and continued there until 1966, when Todd, her third son was born. The Reinhardt's loved to camp. Ginny, Jim and the boys spent many vacations camping in Missouri with family and friends. Ginny was a soloist and member of the choir at St. John's United Church of Christ in St Charles. Ginny and Jim purchased a "gentleman's" farm outside Fulton. When Jim passed away in 1995, she sold the farm and moved to Fulton. Gin worked for 18 years in the Callaway County Public Administrator's office. She traveled to Independence to visit her son Todd, the band director at Truman High. Upon retirement, she moved to The Groves Retirement Community in Independence, Mo. Ginny is survived by her son, Kevin (Kim) of Murrieta, California, Dale (Pat) of Denver Colorado, and Todd (Kristen) of Independence; six grandchildren, Alex, Rachel, Tristan, Randi, Connor and Ella; her sister, Helen; and brother, Bob. No services will be held.
