David Paul Simpson

David Paul Simpson, 73, of Auxvasse, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2019, at Harry S. Truman Veteran's Hospital. He was born in Clayton, Missouri on December 6, 1945, the son of the late Walter "Pete" Simpson and Belle (Koenig) Simpson. David proudly served his country as a United States Marine, retiring as a Gunnery Sergeant following 22 years of service. He enjoyed hunting and loved to cook. He is survived by son, Paul Simpson (Dee) of Cocoa, Fla.; daughter, Melanie Hopkins of West Palm Beach, Fla.; brother, Robert Simpson (Millie) of Auxvasse; sisters, Gerry Miller (Bill) of Coweta, Okla., and Dot Oliver of Auxvasse; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2019, at Auxvasse Cemetery.
