Thomas James Payne

Thomas James Payne, 23, of Fulton, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2019. He was born in Columbia, Missouri on October 30, 1996, the son of Steve Payne and Michelle (Gustafson) Payne. Thomas graduated from South Callaway High School in 2015. He worked alongside his dad at Callaway Collision Center. In his spare time, Thomas enjoyed hunting, riding dirt bikes and four wheelers. He loved Mexican food, and spending time with his family and friends. Thomas was a gentle giant with a huge heart, always willing to help anyone in need. He was excited about becoming a daddy in June of 2020. His memory will forever be cherished by his parents, Steve and Michelle; brothers, Michael and Devin Payne; girlfriend, Megan Custard; grandparents, Leonard and Janice Payne, and Tom and Cathy Gustafson, all of Fulton; aunts, Laura Nelson (Willie) and Lisa Cumins (John); cousins, Levi Nelson (Danielle) and their son, Elliott Nelson, Sidney Nelson, Cameron Cumins, and Caitlynn Cumins; and best friend, Blake Scoggins; and many great aunts, great uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2019, at Maupin Funeral home in Fulton with Pastor Mike Crowson officiating. Friends will be received from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
