Kenneth E. Mealy, 83, of Mokane, Missouri, went home on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City, Missouri. Kenneth was born in Steedman, Missouri on March 17, 1936 to Walter and Gladys Cepicky Mealy. He was married to Joyce Miller Mealy on March 17, 1962 (his birthday). Kenneth served in the United States Army. He was a member of the Hams Prairie Christian Church. Kenneth retired from the Missouri State Highway Department - District 5 Office after over 30 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching sports, playing cards, knapping, finding arrowheads and spending time with his family. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Joyce; daughter, Angie (Jay) Trammell of Mokane; grandson, Nicholas Trammell of Mokane; and granddaughter, Mallory (Garrett) Sims of Sturgeon, Missouri. Kenneth was the oldest of eight children. His brothers are Bob (Joann) Mealy, Larry Mealy, Ronnie (Carlie) Mealy and Rick (Kathy) Mealy. Kenneth's sisters include Janis (Walt) Stieferman, Sherelene Horstman and Joyce (Steve) Wilson. Family members who preceded him in death include his parents and an infant son, Gregory Mealy. Funeral services will be held at the Hams Prairie Christian Church near Fulton, Missouri on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Cody Allen will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Steedman Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Hams Prairie Christian Church on Tuesday, December 3, 2019. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Hams Prairie Christian Church, both in care of Debo Funeral Home, 833 Court Street, Fulton, MO 65251.
