Ruby Liddle

Ruby Liddle, 92, of Fulton, died on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at home surrounded by family. Ruby was born to Leslie and Elda Vandeloecht in Hermann, Missouri and grew up in Steedman. She married Edgar Ray Liddle on December 22, 1945 just before he left for service. Ruby worked at the shoe factory with her lifelong friend and sister-in-law, Gertrude Vandeloecht, for a few years. Later, as a seamstress, Ruby created bridesmaid and prom dresses, Halloween costumes and clothing of all kind for many local residents over the years. She loved traveling, trying new things and enjoyed many years on the local bowling league. In her last years, the things she found the most joy in were playing Aggravation games with her friends and family, and spending time with her great-grandsons. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; daughter, Barbara Cox; siblings, Harold Vandeloecht, Garnell Hook, Wayne Vandeloecht, Irene Pope, Bob Vandeloecht, Bonnie Adams, Clifford Vandeloecht, Phyllis Diehl Schwallenstecker and Ronnie Vandeloecht. Survivors include: children, Connie (Bob) Dowie, Bryant (Kathy) Liddle; grandchildren, Jennifer 'Scout' (Tobias) Gibson, Christina (Nick) Niedergerke, Jessica Richey; great-grandsons, Jakob and Q Gibson and Kenny Niedergerke; and brother, Charles (Joyce) Vandeloecht. Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial gifts may be made to Fulton Public Schools Foundation, 2 Hornet Drive, Fulton, MO 65251.
