KINGDOM CITY — The No. 2 seed North Callaway Thunderbirds' season came to an end in a 36-14 loss to the No. 1 Hallsville Indians in the Class 2, District 5 championship Friday night.

North Callaway had its four-game winning streak halted in finishing with a 7-3 record.

Hallsville (7-4) advances to face the District 6 champion — either Palmyra or Monroe City — in the Class 2 state quarterfinals next Saturday, Nov. 21.
