Fulton girls golf takes fifth at NCMC Tournament

The Fulton girls golf team finished in fifth place Monday at the North Central Missouri Conference Tournament at Heritage Hills in Moberly.

The Lady Hornets also came away with a pair of top-five finishers in the individual standings.

Junior Grace Ousley was the top Fulton finisher in third, with a score of 95, while senior Grace Siegel was just behind her in fourth with a score of 97. Both contributed to the Fulton team score of 454.

Kirksville had the best team and individual score on the day with a score of 383, ahead of second-place Hannibal's 431, and Addy Davis of the Lady Tigers won the individual conference title with a 79.

Kirksville had five golfers finish in the top 14 to earn all-conference honors, while Fulton had the aforementioned two. Freshman Regann Cunningham had the next best score for Fulton in 19th with a 123.

Senior Emily Clark was 28th with a 139 and senior Elexis Clark was 29th with a 143 for the Lady Hornets.

Marshall's Leah Weaver had the second-best score at 93, part of the Lady Owls' third-place 436 team score.

Fulton will be back in action today at Mexico in a quad meet with Mexico, Moberly and Wright City.
