North Callaway confident, swept by Calvary Lutheran

North Callaway went in to its Thursday matchup at Calvary Lutheran confident and lost in straight sets.

The Ladybirds will continue to search for its first set win after losing 25-18, 25-20 and 25-7.

Seniors Hannah Cundiff and Jenny Selby and freshman Bailey Hill led North Callaway (0-5) with two kills each, and freshman Natalie Shryock had one kill.

Head coach Andrew Klein said the Ladybirds will be looking forward to the rematch they have with Calvary Lutheran on Tuesday in Kingdom City as North Callaway believes it can hang with the Lady Lions.

"We know we can compete with Calvary Lutheran, and unfortunately (in this first meeting), they made more plays than us," Klein said.

Before the Lady Lions, North Callaway must face Intensity Homeschool on Monday at home.
