Grace Ousley and Grace Siegel have found themselves close to each other in the standings in various competitions this season. This was the case again after the final day of the Class 2 girls golf state tournament at Columbia Country Club.

Ousley was in a tie for 19th after Monday, after shooting a 91, but fell to 33rd after carding a 105 - for a two-day score of 196 - on Tuesday. Siegel's day-two score also rose north of 100 at 102 - for a two-day score of 199 - to cause her to be tied for 35th after being tied for 31st after Monday with a 97.

On the front nine, Ousley didn't have as good of a start as she did the previous day, when she had four pars and a birdie on the par-4 fifth hole. On Tuesday, she made par on the par-4 fourth hole, as was the case Monday, but also had three bogeys and five double bogeys. Her back nine didn't change much Ousley replaced one of pars with a double bogey.

In total on Tuesday, Ousley had one par, seven bogeys and 10 double bogeys compared with one birdie, five pars, six bogeys and six double bogeys Monday.

Siegel added more pars to her card Tuesday but also added more double bogeys than she had Monday. She had two pars on the back nine - one the par-3 13th hole and the par-4 17th hole - compared with the par-4 second hole Monday. On the second hole Tuesday is where Siegel had one of her new double bogeys along with the seventh, eighth, ninth, 12th and 18th holes - part of nine on the day as opposed to the six she had Monday.

Siegel had the seven bogeys along with the other finishes while she had 11 bogeys Monday.

Marshfield's Marlene Edgeman won the individual competition with her two-day score of 151, despite shooting eight strokes worse Tuesday with her 79 score. Visitation Academy had the best team two-day score of 686 while Ursuline Academy finished second with 755.
