In Week 2, the North Callaway varsity football team defeated South Callaway 26-6 on Monday. The junior varsity Thunderbirds followed suit about a month later in the season finale.
Behind four touchdowns from sophomore quarterback Sergio Moreno, the junior varsity team won 26-6 against the Bulldogs' junior varsity squad in Mokane.
North Callaway (7-1) led 20-0 at halftime as Moreno had already score three of his touchdowns. He threw three touchdowns and 135 yards on 9-for-11 passing while rushing for the other one on 41 yards on six carries.
South Callaway (4-4) was able to get on the board in the fourth quarter on a touchdown pass from freshman quarterback Nathan Hecktor.
