South Callaway drops three, individuals win matches

Thursday saw three more team losses for South Callaway in a quad meet at Wright City.

The Bulldogs lost 42-18 to the host Wildcats, 48-18 to Missouri Military Academy and 45-13 to Gateway. A couple of Bulldogs had some individual success, though, as freshman Ayden Munford and sophomore Eli Benningfield each won three matches while sophomore Noah Kinney added a couple more wins.

Munford scored his wins in the 145-pound class while Benningfield competed in the 182 class. Kinney added victories in the 152 class.

Freshman Hunter Smith wrapped up the individual scoring for the boys as he lost one match in the 160 class.

For the girls, junior Austyn Culwell won one match in the 235 class while sophomore Lilli Lewis lost one match in the 167 class.

South Callaway competes at 10 a.m. Saturday in a quad meet at Missouri Military Academy against the hosting Colonels, Agape and Cole Camp.
