NEW BLOOMFIELD - Three Fulton golfers shot 50 or better Thursday as the Hornets won the Callaway Cup at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club.
Fulton finished with a 49-over 193 to finish 17 strokes ahead of North Callaway. New Bloomfield shot a 221 and South Callaway finished with a 223.
Michael Holtkamp and Walker Gohring tied for the top score in the nine-hole event with a 45. Josh Reams carded a 50 and Jack Winterbower rounded out the team score with a 53.
North Callaway teammates Thomas Crum and David Althiser finished third and fourth, respectively, with a 48 and a 49.
Tucker Wright shot a 53 and Grant Bell had a 60 to complete the Thunderbirds' score.
Breycin Dysart led the way for New Bloomfield with a 52, while Dillon Cardwell shot a 55, Joe Fuhriman carded a 56 and Cade Custard had a 58.
South Callaway teammates Lane Powers, Raife Evans and Evan Martin each finished with 54 strokes. Dalton Campbell carded a 61 for the Bulldogs.
