North Callaway baseball defeats Louisiana 11-8

LOUISIANA - North Callaway broke a tie at 4 with a seven-run sixth inning Tuesday as the Thunderbirds defeated the Louisiana Bulldogs 11-8.

The Thunderbirds led 4-2 before the Bulldogs scored a run each in the third and fourth innings to tie it.

North Callaway nearly tripled its run total with seven runs in the sixth before Louisiana got back within 11-7 with three runs in the bottom half.

Louisiana added a run in the seventh.

Christian Griffith had three hits and two RBI for North Callaway, which improved to 7-10 overall, 5-3 in the Eastern Missouri Conference.

Matthew Weber came in for relief of Christian Griffith in the fourth inning, allowing four runs and striking out three in four innings to earn the win.

North Callaway will host Silex on Thursday.
