Prep Baseball: North Callaway beats Wellsville-Middletown 16-2

WELLSVILLE - Nine runs in the first inning was more than enough damage for the North Callaway Thunderbirds, who defeated Wellsville-Middletown 16-2 in five innings Friday.

Bryce Clark led the Thunderbirds with three RBI. He drove in the first run of the game with a single to left field and added a second RBI in the first inning when he reached on an error.

On the mound, Clark struck out six in three innings and Sam Pezold struck out four in two innings.

Jacob Morris smacked a two-RBI double in the first and Austin Taylor added an RBI single in the first and in the five-run third inning.

Wellsville-Middletown is 5-3 overall and 3-1 in the Eastern Missouri Conference.
