Prep Baseball: Mexico 10, North Callaway 0

AUXVASSE - Jesse Fennewald pitched a one-hitter Monday, leading the Mexico Bulldogs past the North Callaway Thunderbirds for a 10-0 win in five innings.

Bryce Clark had North Callaway's only hit off Fennewald, a two-out single in the bottom of the second inning.

Mexico scored four runs in the first inning, two in the second and four more in the fourth to win by run-rule.

Daeye Miller went 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI to lead Mexico (6-5), while Tyler Prince was 2-for-4 with a solo home run in the second.

Jacob Morris was the losing pitcher for the Thunderbirds. In two innings, he gave up six runs on five hits with two walks and three strikeouts.

Christian Griffith pitched the next two innings, walking one and striking out two while allowing four runs on four hits. Sam Pezold pitched a 1-2-3 fifth inning.

North Callaway (2-6) hosts Elsberry on Thursday in an Eastern Missouri Conference matchup.

Mexico also won Monday's JV game 8-3.
