Prep baseball: New Bloomfield gets walk-off win against Eldon

NEW BLOOMFIELD - The New Bloomfield Wildcats walked off against the Eldon Mustangs, scoring two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning with two outs Friday to win 5-4 and snap a three-game losing streak.

New Bloomfield (2-4) scored a run in each of the first three innings and finished the game with six hits and six walks, as Breycin Dysart drove in two runs and he and Lucas Buscher each had two hits.

Michael Saleny gave up two runs in the third, one in the fourth and one in the fifth as the starter, allowing five hits and four walks while striking out three. Trevor Jordan entered in relief and threw three hitless innings, walking one and striking out two.

Fisher Snelling started for Eldon (2-9) and gave up one earned run on two hits and five walks while striking out one in two innings. Hunter Hees entered as a reliever and struck out seven in three innings of work, but allowed four hits and two runs, one earned.

New Bloomfield plays at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Wellsville-Middleton, while Eldon plays at 4:30 p.m. Monday at School of the Osage.
