Three goals each for Henley, Arthur in 9-2 win for Fulton

It was quite the bounce-back Thursday for the Fulton Lady Hornets.

Lexi Henley and Karsyn Arthur each completed a hat trick to lead Fulton to a 9-2 victory against the Wright City Lady Wildcats.

Fulton was coming off back-to-back losses against Warrenton and St. Francis Borgia.

"The girls needed to come out and play the way they did after having a rough game last Saturday," Fulton coach Joel Henley said, referencing a 7-0 defeat against Borgia. "They came out tonight and made a statement by beating a district opponent."

The Lady Hornets led 2-0 at the half, getting a goal from Henley in the 16th minute on an assist from Kauri Henderson and another goal from Anna Lowry in the 37th minute on an assist from Maddie Dyro.

Fulton picked it up in the next 40 minutes, scoring in the 48th, 51st, 56th, 63rd, 72nd and 74th minutes.

Dyro assisted in three goals while scoring two of her own. Henley assisted Arthur for a goal.

Grace Siegel had 13 saves on 15 attempts in goal for the Lady Hornets.

In the JV game, Fultn won 1-0 on a Maddie Dyro goal in the 35th minute. Grace Ousley turned away both of Wright City's shots on goal.

Fulton (2-3) plays at 5 p.m. today at School of the Osage.
