HALLSVILLE - First baseman Brilee Ash went 3-for-3 with a triple and a run batted in as the Lady Hornets downed the Lady Indians on Tuesday night.
Shortstop Grace Evans also finished 3-for-3 and scored a run for FMS (6-1). Third baseman Maddie Bright was 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a run scored, while pitcher Natalie Underwood struck out nine.
Third baseman Kenzie Washington and catcher Karai Kamp - who scored a run - were both 2-for-2 as the Lady Hornets (2-1) prevailed 3-0 in the seventh-grade game. Shortstop Audrey Arnold went 1-for-2 and pitcher Ina Dawson posted six strikeouts.
FMS hosts Moberly today.
