High school softball: Linn 12, South Callaway 7

MOKANE - The Lady Bulldogs suffered the Show-Me Conference loss after the Lady Wildcats pulled away in the late innings Tuesday night.

Sophomore Alaney Miller finished 4-for-4 and senior Cassidy Crocker had three hits for South Callaway.

Junior starter Hannah Mistler went 5 2/3 innings in being pinned with the loss for the Lady Bulldogs. Mistler surrendered seven runs on eight hits and struck out three.

South Callaway bowed in the junior varsity game 7-4.

On Monday night at New Haven, Miller hit two home runs and drove in seven runs as the Lady Bulldogs collected their first win of the season by hammering the Lady Shamrocks 13-0 in five innings.

Crocker started for South Callaway and tossed a four-hit shutout for the complete-game victory. Junior Hailee Potter went 3-for-3 and scored three runs.

"Overall, we played an awesome game with stellar defense and big bats," Lady Bulldogs head coach Mackenzie Myers said. "I couldn't be happier or more proud of their progress."

South Callaway remains at home for an SMC clash with St. Elizabeth at 5 p.m. Thursday.
