Setter Emily Elias recorded three kills, seven digs and five service aces as the Lady Hornets bowed to the Lady Wildcats 25-21, 23-25 and 15-11 in Thursday night's home opener.
Middle hitter Cheyenne Studer contributed two kills for Fulton Middle School (1-2) and outside hitter Brooklyn Maddox chipped in with one kill and two digs. Libero Justice Vardeman added three digs and two assists.
The Lady Hornets (0-3) dropped the "B" match 26-24 and 25-17. Defensive specialist Savannah Leeper-Baumgartner posted a team-high five aces, while setters Sidney Morts and Jessie Vodnansky both had four.
FMS' "B" team competes in the Camdenton Tournament on Saturday, opening against Russellville at 9 a.m.
