Pitcher Maddie Bright struck out 11 to earn the victory as the Lady Hornets triumphed in their home opener by rolling past the Lady Bulldogs on Tuesday night.
Catcher Layla Underwood was 3-for-3 with two runs batted in and a run scored for Fulton Middle School (2-0). Center fielder Olivia Weaver finished 2-for-3 and scored two runs.
Third baseman Kenzi Washington went 1-for-1 with four RBI and a run scored as the seventh-grade Lady Hornets eased past South Callaway 14-2 in their first game of the season.
Pitcher Ina Dawson picked up the win and was also 1-for-2 with three RBI and scored a run for FMS.
